Gary White – Book and Lyrics

Gary has been involved with musical theater in Philadelphia, Louisville and Central Kentucky for over 20 years. Gary is the executive producer and head writer for “Life In Podunk,” an original TV sit-com. Over the past decade Gary has written, directed and starred in several short films. Gary has worked in the TV news field for over 15 years and is currently the owner and operator of an independent TV station in Central Kentucky.

Dan Cassin – Composer

Dan Cassin is a sound designer, composer, and pianist from Louisville, Kentucky. In 2008, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bellarmine University with a BA in jazz piano performance. Since then, he has written music for numerous things including weddings short films, and theatrical performances. He is currently the Audio Intern at Centerstage Theater in Baltimore, MD.

 

G.B. Dixon – Composer

Dixon is currently the artistic director for the Classic Arts Community Theater in Central Kentucky. He has been working on the stage and behind the scenes with plays and musicals for over 30 years. News: The Musical is his first opportunity to compose for the stage.

 

Matt Schaffner – Composer

Matt is an active composer, educator and performer of music in the Kentuckiana area. As a composer, Matt’s music has been performed at a variety of conferences and events, including performances by Art! Art! Barking Dog Dance Company, Moyamo Dance, and the Leopard Percussionists. Matt has taught music at Bellarmine University, the University of Louisville, Jefferson Community College, Centre College, and Gyeongju University in South Korea. He has served as a music director at various Kentuckiana churches where he has been a pianist, percussionist, sound technician, and worship leader. Matt has performed as a percussionist with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, the Louisville Orchestra, the Choral Arts Society, Bourbon Baroque period ensemble, Kentucky Opera, and a number of world and popular ensembles, including calypso, reggae, Irish, and Middle Eastern bands.
